Incorporated in 1986, Luminex (Private) Limited is a member of the Luminex Group of Companies. The company specializes in the construction of all types of electrical plant and outside line plant for telecommunications networks. Totally customized solutions are the name of the game at Luminex. The company engages itself in electrical projects directly as a fully fledged business partner, or as a subcontractor for construction companies and building contractors.

Through the years, Luminex (Private) Limited has gained an outstanding reputation for its proven reliability and expertise in the execution of many electrical and telecom projects. These projects range from small-scale installations for the private sector to large-scale public sector electrical projects. The company’s capabilities are quite evident from the very fact that it is one of the few companies listed under the highest contractors’ grading of EM 1, which is awarded by the Institute of Construction, Training and Development (ICTAD).

Ruwan Fernando - B.Sc. (Hons), C.Eng., MIEE(London) : Managing Director
With nearly 30 years of experience in the industry, of which 16 were with the Sri Lanka Department of Telecommunications Ruwan Fernando was Deputy General Manager of Sri Lanka Telecom prior to joining Luminex.

Sunil Ramanayake – B.Sc., C.Eng., MIESL : Director
Sunil Ramanayake who began his career as an electrical engineer now possesses nearly 30 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Luminex he served at major private and public sector institutions in various capacities.

Headed by the above 02 Directors, Luminex (Private) Limited has 120 highly motivated, well qualified and experienced employees within its ranks. In addition to this, the company also uses its extensive network of reliable subcontractors as and when required.
